I was talking with our human resource manager and she told me that I needed to know how to be a supervisor to my subordinates. I have just been promoted and I am now in charge of the very people that I worked with for several years. Human resource thinks that I should step up and act my position. I should not make excuses for my people. I should not do their work for them and I should not be complacent when they are not doing their job well. I was chosen among the many applicants for supervisor because management believes that I could motivate people and get them to be productive and not the other way around.
